Kata Hicks is a digital fashion doyenne, having worked for Bottega Veneta and Cartier, before becoming director of digital at Chanel in New York. Since relocating to London, she works as a luxury digital consultant, as well as volunteering with charities that support women with high-distress pregnancies. Here, she extols the virtues of effortless one-and-done dresses.
An elegant but practical woman who has style but has lots of other priorities in her life too.
Reflective of the fact that I’ve lived in New York, Paris and London. There’s an entire room at my country house that is devoted to my former wardrobe of highly structured Alaïa dresses and towering high heels. Because they are really beautiful pieces that are easy to wear in my daily life. They are effortless pieces that I don’t have to think too much about. The green Rafeala Dress is ideal for wearing to meetings for my consultancy work, and the yellow Elisabetta Dress is the perfect vacation dress.

Because it’s an easy way to dress up an outfit without having to put too much effort into it. Luckily, I have lots of great Chanel sample sale relics.
